CINDY BLACKMAN SANTANA, drummer/composer/bandleader in the style of her late mentor Tony Williams, brings a power and dexterity to the drum kit that shatters any sexual stereotypes about female instrumentalists. On her upcoming CD, due out in early 2018, Cindy makes her debut as a vocalist as well, with guest spots from husband Carlos Santana and fellow guitar legend, John McLaughlin. When not touring with Carlos, Cindy is also avalable to play with her power-house jazz-rock group featuring Zaccai Curtis on keyboards, Aurelien Budynek on guitar, and either Felix Pastorius or Rashaan Carter on bass.
